AMA Members and Interested Students,

The University of Wisconsin – Whitewater (UW-Whitewater) American Marketing Association is proud to announce their 2nd Annual Regional Conference on Friday, November 6th, 2009 at UW-Whitewater’s new business center, Hyland Hall. The keynote speaker for this year’s conference is Alex Gibelalde, member of the product marketing sector for Google Spain.

This year’s conference, “Marketing Through Changing Tides,” focuses on three main tracksInternet and Social Media, Sustainability and Diversity, and Buzz and Viral Public Relations.  Students will be able to choose which speakers and/or tracks that they are most interested in.  Speakers include marketing professionals from well-known companies such as Target, Kohler Company, Lands’ End, Johnson Controls Inc, and GMR Marketing.

In addition to a great speaker line-up with many options, participants will be able to take part in the Career Corner and Lunch Workshops.  The Career Corner will feature 20+businesses looking to network and recruit talented students.  Students will also be able to submit their resumes to these businesses prior to the conference.  The Lunch Workshops will provide participants the opportunity to hear firsthand advice from other AMA chapters on several topics, as well as receive insight on how to individually prepare themselves for the professional years ahead.
