A coming of age tale that follows a pair of Latina teens who gradually fall in love against the backdrop of East L.A.
Free film screening with discussion to follow.
A coming of age tale that follows a pair of Latina teens who gradually fall in love against the backdrop of East L.A. Yolanda and Mari are growing up in Huntington Park, Los Angeles in immigrant households and only have known loyalty to one thing: family. When mounting pressures at home collide with their new-found connection with each other, the girls are forced to choose between their obligations to others and staying true to themselves.
Sponsored by the PB Poorman PRIDE Resource Center, IMPACT, and Latinos Unidos.
